Time blindness
What it means
Time blindness describes a weak internal sense of time: minutes slip by unnoticed, a quick task takes an hour and the moment to leave arrives as a surprise. It is often linked to ADHD, where time tends to feel like two zones, now and not now. It is not carelessness; it is a gap between the clock and how time feels.
How to use it
Make time visible and external. Use reminders timed for the moment you must act, not a vague warning well in advance. Guess how long tasks take, then compare with the real duration. Let the time you need to leave be worked out for you.
Try it: what you write, what LifeOS does
- “tomorrow at 8:40am leave for the dentist” → An appointment tomorrow at 8:40 with a push nudge at the moment to leave, not an hour early.
