Evening planning
What it means
Evening planning is the habit of spending a few minutes the night before deciding what tomorrow will look like: the fixed appointments, the one or two important tasks, what time you need to leave. Mornings are when decisions pile up fastest; settling them the evening before lets you start the day by doing rather than deciding.
How to use it
Do it at the end of your workday or as part of your evening routine. Look at tomorrow's appointments, choose the first task and prepare anything physical it needs. Then stop: the plan does not need to be perfect.
Try it: what you write, what LifeOS does
- “every day at 9:30pm plan the next day” → A daily reminder at 21:30, a fixed five minutes to set up tomorrow before bed.
