Energy mapping
What it means
Energy mapping means noticing how your energy and focus rise and fall across the day, then using that map to decide what goes where. Most people have one or two peak windows, a dip after lunch and a low stretch in the evening. Putting demanding work in the peaks and routine chores in the dips gets more done for the same effort.
How to use it
For one week, note every couple of hours how alert you feel on a scale from 1 to 5. Look for the pattern, then protect your best window for the task that needs the most thinking. Email, admin and errands go in the valleys.
Try it: what you write, what LifeOS does
- “every day at 10am hardest task of the day” → A daily reminder at 10:00, inside your peak window, so the demanding work lands where your energy is.
