Micro-habit
What it means
A micro-habit is a deliberately tiny version of a behaviour you want: one push-up, one page, one sentence in a journal. It is closely associated with BJ Fogg's Tiny Habits method. Because it takes seconds, it does not depend on motivation, and doing it every day builds the cue and the sense of identity that let the habit grow later.
How to use it
Shrink the habit until it feels almost silly, attach it to an anchor you already have and do it at the same moment every day. Doing more is welcome, but never required.
Try it: what you write, what LifeOS does
- “every day at 10pm write one journal line” → A daily reminder at 22:00 for a habit small enough to do even on your worst day.
