Evening routine
What it means
An evening routine is the sequence you repeat in the hour or so before sleep: tidy up, get tomorrow's bag and clothes ready, dim the lights, put the phone away, read. It does two jobs. It lowers stimulation so falling asleep is easier, and it moves small morning decisions to the night before, when they cost less.
How to use it
Anchor it to a fixed bedtime and count backwards: screens off 45 minutes before, preparation 30 minutes before. Keep the steps deliberately boring. If you only do one thing, get tomorrow's plan out of your head and onto the page.
Try it: what you write, what LifeOS does
- “every day at 9:45pm lay out clothes and bag” → A daily reminder at 21:45 that starts your wind-down and saves a few decisions for the morning.
