Sleep hygiene
What it means
Sleep hygiene is the collection of everyday habits and bedroom conditions that make good sleep more likely: going to bed and getting up at regular times, a dark, quiet and cool room, no caffeine late in the day, lighter evening meals and less screen time before bed. None of it is dramatic, but together these habits make a real difference to how rested you feel.
How to use it
Start with the most powerful habit, a consistent wake time, weekends included. Then change one thing at a time. If you have ongoing trouble sleeping, talk to a doctor: good habits support treatment but do not replace it.
Try it: what you write, what LifeOS does
- “I sleep 8 hours” → Stored as your sleep target: the plan works out a bedtime from your wake time and protects it.
