Morning routine
What it means
A morning routine is the set of steps you repeat after waking up, in the same order, before the day's demands begin: water, daylight, some movement, breakfast, a look at the plan. Its value lies less in any single step than in removing decisions, so the first hour runs on autopilot and you reach your first real task with energy to spare.
How to use it
Build it backwards from the time you need to leave or start work, and keep it shorter than you think. Three or four steps that happen every day beat a ten-step routine that only survives on good days.
Try it: what you write, what LifeOS does
- “every day at 7:15am stretching and a glass of water” → A daily reminder at 7:15 for the first step of your routine, which you can mark done or snooze.
