Routine anchor
What it means
A routine anchor is an event that already happens every day at roughly the same point, such as waking up, the first coffee, lunch, getting home or dinner, used as a hook for other habits and tasks. Anchors are more reliable than clock times because they happen even when the day shifts, and they give the day a skeleton the rest can hang from.
How to use it
Pick three anchors spread across the day and attach one small action to each. Protect the anchors themselves: a steady wake time and regular meals make every other routine easier.
